Option 1: Albuquerque Museum of Art and History: Online Art Since coronavirus quarantines have us stuck in our homes, I would like you to explore our local museum’s collection linked below, and find an artwork for your report. Please click here to find an artwork: Albuquerque eMuseum Collection Option 2: Visit a mural or work of public art in town There are many murals and public artworks in town that can be viewed while safely social-distancing. I encourage you to check out the following websites to locate a mural that you can visit in person. Please click here to find a mural in Albuquerque: https://murosabq.com/ Please click here to find a work of public art in Albuquerque: https://www.cabq.gov/culturalservices/public-art/public-art-in-albuquerque Option 3: Choose a work of art you have seen at a museum, gallery, memorial, monument, cathedral, etc. in the past. I would love for you to choose an artwork (or architecture) you have seen in person, but it is important that you choose a work of merit. A digital print you saw in your friend’s garage will likely not make the cut. You can email me if you have concerns about the artwork you would like to choose. Have you been to DC and seen the national monuments? Have you see large public sculptures in Denver (or any other city)? Have you visited a breathtaking mosque or temple you have always wanted to learn more about, or return to? Have you been to an important cultural monument like Chaco Canyon? These are all great choices. Option 4: Make an Appointment at the Albuquerque Museum to see artwork in person.
